141 S Roadrunner Pkwy
After its success in El Paso, the owner finally decided to open a new location in Las Cruces. This newest addition to the rather short list of asian restaurants can be found on Roadrunner near Lohman. It appears rather small from the outside, but is appreciably larger inside. It has a nice decor in the Japanese style. An open area with a bar has regular tables, while another section has booths. I thought that the benches were a little far away from the table for me. In the back are secluded dining rooms for privacy.
We ordered shrimp tempura, beef yakisoba, and a selection of sushi. First, of course, came the miso soup. The tempura was good, not too greasy. I liked the flavor of the yakisoba, but thought it was a tad salty for me. Looking around at the sushi others had ordered, I thought the sushi here was the prettiest in Las Cruces. I did have one complaint on the sushi. It was served along with the yakisoba, even though it was prepared first. There was a backlog on cooked orders, which meant that the sushi was nearly room temperature when it arrived. Obviously that is not ideal.
