Chinatown and Fisherman's Market

The modern day Chinatown was nothing like what I remembered. Ever since the opening of the Convention Center there, the area has pushed into a more upscale part of the city. I image with the increase of property tax, a large number of Chinese shops were forced out and were replaced with upscale restaurants and shopping center. Around the corner, the store that used to sell Chinese furniture and other knickknack was replaced by Starbucks, of course, the sign also contains Chinese transliteration of Starbucks.

Well, since we are there in Maryland, we canít really leave until we have some those fresh crabs. We arrived at the Fishmanís Market in a rainy day. As soon as we get out of the car, we hurried along the stands, where loads of freshly caught fishes, shrimps, clams, crabs were displayed. Some of the shops were selling the already cooked crabs and shrimps. They were served in a powdery mix of seasonings. We bought some jumbo shrimps, live crabs, salmons, and clams. It was quite a fest.
