Michele Bachmann

Call me strange, but I find Michele Bachmann (R-MN) strangely attractive. That is, if you could get past that look in her eyes. You know, the look that says her stuffed animal collection probably reflects her forays into home taxidermy.

Neighbor: “Why does Ms. Bachmann put cat food on her front porch every night? They don’t have any pets. By the way, have you seen Puffball or Mr. Snuggles recently?”
She is a graduate of the law school of Oral Roberts University. I'm sure that school has had some sane graduates. Just kidding.

Not pictured: sanity

According to Wikipedia, she "is a member of a church that is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, whose doctrine teaches that the Roman Catholic papacy is the Antichrist identified in Scripture." She has stated she will refuse to answer any Census 2010 questions beyond the number of people in her household, as it "asks too many personal questions." On science, she knows that "Carbon dioxide is not a harmful gas, it is a harmless gas. Carbon dioxide is natural; it is not harmful...." Granted this is meant in her context as a global warming denier, but does she really not know that the term "carbon dioxide poisoning" exists?

Probably asking for Obama's birth certificate

She has become the face of the modern Republican party more so even than idiots Scott Brown and Sarah Palin, both of whom are mostly sane. It is not enough to be stupid and anti-scientific. Modern wingnuttia requires unadulterated crazy. Listen to Ms. Bachmann speak (as she often does on cable news). I think for most right wingers, the paranoia and insanity are part of an act. Bachmann is genuine. Where have you seen a look like that before?

Above: thinks Michele Bachman looks perfectly normal

Seriously, the look in her eyes is usually accompanied by a jacket that fastens in the back.

Ah, yes. Evil, stupid, and crazy. Fantastic combination. How could American voters resist?

Wawabooboo tootiemama feedeewana, as the old Babylonians used to say. (Don't ask me about the young Babylonians, though. I think they mostly used acronyms. So probably the previous prayerful phrase would have been shortened to "WTF.")
